RUSSELLVILLE, AR – Russellville Police are investigating a shooting at Crawford Elementary School where a teacher was injured.

A statement on the Russellville School District’s Facebook page said the shooting happened at 5:15pm and a bullet grazed a teacher who was working late and exiting the building. The teacher was treated on scene and released.

Police say there is no indication that the school or school employees were targeted. Children had been released from school about 90 minutes prior to the incident, according to the school district.

The school district says all students will be kept inside the building as a precautionary measure on Friday.

Police are still investigating the incident. They are asking anyone who has any information to call 479-968-3232.
