Southland and Oaklawn sound like a monopoly to me.The ballet was approved to collect signatures same as the pot one so I want to vote on it. This crap happens every election. Let the people speak. If a group wants to protest then they should have to collect signatures too! Not just use money that the dog track gave them!!!!!!!!

Never been to a casino; but I believe people should have that right. Other states have them. Same with prostitution, and medicinal weed. Let's get with the 21st Century AR leaders. They could build a casino next door to me, and I wouldn't bother going. Might make a little dough on parking though! I'm with you itsjustme; why "exclusive" rights? Someone in the state government getting a little payola on this one. Looks like the payola has gone out the window though. Sos has concerns over the wording. How many times have we heard that one when Arkansans want something on the ballot?

I like casinos and all but where are they going to put them in Pulaski county??? Are they going to force people out of there homes in the name of eminent domain??Why not just build them on the other side of the river from Tunica & Greenville? We'll still get our tax dollars that way...I'm opposed to them being in Pulaski county..

My main problem with this is that these two want "exclusive rights" to be the only ones allowed to operate casinos. I agree casinos would be good for Arkansas, but dont give one person the monopoly. Nancy Todd will not bring us a good casino, she will bring us these little ass "poker palaces". We need casinos like Tunica has, real casinos.

If it was approved to collect signatures and they were collected then it is a bunch of bull to then tell them no.A small group of people that was given lots of money from the Greyhound dog track should not be telling the people of Arkansas what we can have. Heck I feel sorry for the Greyhounds! I want to vote on it. We need a big shake up in government as they are suppose to be to be working for the people.

I made a comment about someone keeping the weed proposal off the ballot. I mentioned a judge or a DA; forgot about the SoS. How many times in the past have they kept something off the ballot because the wording wasn't correct, the "title" was wrong, etc.? The people spoke when they gathered enough signatures; we need to get rid of these people running our state, and get some people in there that believe in "we the people".

Let the casinos go ahead and build, people that want to gamble will either go where they are or find another way to amuse themselves. It might actually generate some jobs either from the buiding or the people needed to work in them.
