I have never experience the lost of a child, but your story has really touched my heart. I am so sorry for your lost, but love your spirit to reachout to others to give them comfort. God Bless you and your husband and I know just reading your story that your son's memory will live on. This is what true missionary work is all about.

I watched this story through teary eyes...My husband and I are also grieving parents. Our 15 year old son, Matt, died in a freak drowning accident in March of '09. Through praying for another couple's daughter who had brain cancer, we bonded with them and helped each other. Their daughter left this life less than a month before our son did. This couple along with another couple who lost their adult son in Afghanistan started a group called "While We are Waiting"...based on Romans 8:25. They have weekend retreats for couples, weekends for moms and seperate weekends for dads, usually each twice a year. Here is the link to their website. Check them out! http://www.whilewerewaiting.org/ Thanks for doing this series. People need to know it's O.K to talk about our loved ones who have gone on before us. I can't wait to see tomorrow night's story.
