Update: Little Rock police say a standoff suspect has been captured and placed in jail Friday. Dexter Thrower was taken there by his parole officer, according to police.
LITTLE ROCK, AR – Little Rock police are looking for a man who they consider armed and dangerous.
Police responded to a shots fired call on St. James Court Thursday morning and ended up calling in the SWAT team. They say Dexter Thrower fired at three people, identified by police as Glynnis Lawson, Deanna Smith, and Michael Monroe.
The three told officers Thrower thought they stole money from him. Police say the three victims made it out of the house safely, but not before Thrower made a request.
"In the process of looking for his money," explained Sgt. Cassandra Davis, "he did ask the victim's to disrobe."
Police believed Thrower to be inside the house. After hours of waiting for him to come out, they went in and found it empty.
"Right now we're not sure where he is," said Davis, "but because there was at least one weapon involved we do consider this individual armed and dangerous."
It's a frightening prospect for neighbors, like Courtney Booth. it's not everyday the SWAT team sets up a perimeter right in front of his house.
"I'm kinda scared really," he said. "I got kids, three kids that play on this street. I don't know what's going to happen. He might decide to come back home or take somebody hostage or something. I don't know."
If you know anything about Dexter Thrower's whereabouts, you're asked to please call Little Rock police.
