The board that oversees the annual fair voted Thursday to keep the festivities in Little Rock - rather than move it to a site in north Pulaski County.
The fair has been housed for decades on about 100 acres south of downtown Little Rock. The site includes Barton Coliseum, livestock barns, office space and other facilities.
North Little Rock and Jacksonville have made pitches to the fair board to move the annual event north of the Arkansas River. Little Rock has offered to make improvements at the current site.
FOX16’s Dustin Barnes will have more information on this story as it becomes available.
