tgggirl, the reason why Cabot has such great schools and buildings is because it has a community that stands behind it 100%. Cabt has no problem paying the taxes it does for the school district because they see progress and see where the money is going. With PCSSD, it is the total opposite. The district worries more about firing and hiring supers than it does anything. They are too incompetent to run the district the right way. The are paying out almost more contracts to former leaders then the U of A is. PCSSD needs a complete revamp, and not only in the buildings they have. Cabot schools and the lower crime rate (and yes i know there is crime in Cabot) is why people will live in Cabot and drive to LR/NLR.

After being forced to move here by no choice of mine almost 7 years ago I have voiced my concerns time after time about PCSSD. What a bunch of run down, no good schools we have to send our children to...teachers dont seem to care about teaching, they seem more focused on discipline, and money gets spent in places it shouldnt. Pretty sad when right down the road (Cabot) the schools are well kept, and not a single parent there has gotten a letter in the mail stating the school their child attends "didnt make the grade"...PCSSD's fix to that is bus them over an hour to a school that barely make the test scores. and dont get me started on PCSSD's "TAG" program offered at only one school in an area that is way beyond run down.....

bat, its obvious that you feel only a black person could fix the problems better than a white person. I dont care who, or what color the person is that they hire. They need to find a fix to the problems. And for the record, the majority of te people that have been fired for their ineffiencies, have been black. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

DILLIGAF you are all wet about me,you said the school district and the kids is whats important, you are right and I also put that #1 on my list,the man they have in there now was brought in by the state to try to fix the mess, the school board didnot hire him,as in the pass they hired nuts that failed in other school districts,all they cared about was how much $$$ they were going to make and how much they were going to get paid to leave,kidds were out the window.

The teachers union isn't the problem. The Supt makes more money than they should, as well as a host of other administrators. The teachers are underpaid, though. How's that working for you, PCSSD? Well it just caught up with them ,I wonder what was wrong,the last 2 they paid off to leave could not run a car wash,and they were paid 10's of thousand to leave,than they hire a non black to straighten it out and he can't,so a lot of people will lose their jobs.
