LITTLE ROCK, AR – A man is accused of stealing his 6-year-old step-son’s prescription medication. According to the report, the man had been emptying the medication out of the capsules, putting them back together, and replacing them in the bottle.

Noel Santoro, 40 of Midway, is charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor in the second degree.

According to the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the mother of the child noticed that the pills she was giving her son were empty. She also tells investigators that she had been contacted by school officials, who said her child had not been behaving normally and asked if he was receiving his medication.

The sheriff’s office says Santoro admitted to taking the medication on three separate occasions.

Santoro was arrested and put in jail on $1,000 bond. He also has been placed on a no bond hold for a probation violation.

If the meds were used for ADHD for the child they have a different effect on someone who doesn't have it. His wife knew he was abusing drugs and did nothing about it, unil now.

And no, I did not report him. His wife told the shrink at the VA, so I left it in their hands.

Sad. I imagine it happens more often than we realize. I know a guy here in Jax that did the same thing; took his son's meds and his wife's. He needs help bad, and can get it free at the VA, but won't go. Afraid they will lock him in the nuthouse.

Protector I wish my name was meth and I was a wall. That one didn't do enough damage. I'd like to show what a well done job looks like.
