itsjustme; thanks for the tip, I'll look into it before I vote on it ( IF I get the chance to ) I'm with Butch; horses and dogs; what's the difference between betting on them, and playing in a casino? Like Butch says, someone has a monopoly going, and they don't want anyone getting some of "their" gambling proceeds. Me, never been to a casino, dog or horse race, and havent' spent a dime on the lottery. But I believe people should have that right if they so choose to gamble. I'm not sitting on a high horse either gang; I used to host poker parties; quarter limit, limit of 3 raises, nickle ante, only needed 5 bucks to sit and play for a few hours, and have fun. No one got shot or stabbed because they lost their paycheck.

Arkansas needs casinos and most of us want them. The reason why I will vote no on this if it makes it to the ballet is because Nancy Todd will NOT bring what we all know as a casino. She wants to bring in "poker palaces". She does not have the financial resources or overall knowledge to bring us what we want, a real casino. If Arkansas ever gets casinos, it needs to be done by the people that know how to do it, not some poker princess that wants the monopoly and all the financial benefits. I'm like those that are tired of Arkansas not having them, but please research what she is proposing before you vote. Dont vote for it just because you want a casino here, vote after you have researched it good.

I say let's have it all or none. No casinos no dogs and horses. Looks like a monopoly to me already. It's not to far to drive out of state to see a good horse race.

I like going to the casinos one or two times a year. I spend no more than if I was going out to eat and a movie. I don't care if she came here or not because someone from Arkansas could have done it. Sam Walton didn't live in all those other states either! I think if we are being laughed at it is because we drive to other states to play.Won 5,000 once and Arkansas made sure they got part of it. I have a right to vote on this because we are suppose to live in a Democracy NOT a Dictatorship! More entertainment sound;s great to me, guess if someone didn't like it they could stay home.

Same ol', same ol'. We've all seen it; something the citizens of this state wish to vote on; and someone in the state government, or state courts, says the wording isn't correct, etc. Gettin' their pockets lined at the same time maybe?

hell no they dont want her to bring it to a vote ...the last i checked no one asked me if i wanted more options for entertainment all the money goes either in charles cella's pockets of whom he is not even a citizen of this state or southland racing....or the dozens of casinos under our noses in memphis ft smith and texarkana and springdale .....we just get laughed at every yr by border states....its not that we are even allowed to vote on it .......if its so bad and so wrong why can cella have one and no one else??????? he has expanded his empire to include poker etc etc were just all too stupid i guess.....backawards hill billies
