DEWITT, AR - Damage on the ground and debris in on the power lines is what Dewitt resident Allen Adams has to deal with after last night’s storms.
Adams and his wife were watching a movie when they started getting phone calls, warning them about the weather.
“I told my wife, that’s getting a little bit too close for me. So we got out and came to my brother-in-law and sister’s house,” said Adams.
The storms passed over and the Adams’ made it okay. But their home did not.
“I am just glad to be alive. I am glad we got out of there when we did because had we been in there, we wouldn’t be here right now,” said Adams.
There is damage scattered throughout Dewitt. At the town’s airport, the Mayor says about $100,000 worth of repair is needed.
The Mayor tells us power has been restored.
“Crews have been working all day today. We had absolutely no injuries. So we are very fortunate in that respect,” said Mayor Ralph Relyea
