There must be something positive happening in Jacksonville and North Pulaski if the PCSSD is so determined not to allow them to break away. Makes me wonder if the Jacksonville/North Pulaski area is the cream of the crop? I'm really not as concerned about the need for another administration and tax dollars being spent if it is for the benefit of my children and yours. They are the future. I'm sure there are other places the budget could be trimmed to make up some of the difference if we can get the leaders to do it. Just an opinion but if Jacksonville/North Pulaski make the district real attractive the community will surely grow bringing industry and increased population which will bring in revenue. Most parents would love nothing more than to put their children in a quality district and for most the option for a private school is not a reality, it's too expensive.

Mixed feelings. Yes, it would benefit Jax. But I pointed out the need for more admin and support staff for another school district. More tax dollars needed for that. And then there is PCSSD; they will fight this in court more than likely; and depending on who has the most money to pay of the judge or judges, not to mention the cost of lawyers, court fees, etc., who knows how much this will cost by the time Jax finally gets their own district.

Great for Jacksonville! Finally have a superintendent that has brains, the last time thye tried this, PCSD would not let them out. This would be a real plus for this community

Cabot has their fair share of trash, but it also has one hell of a school district. An independent Jacksonville school district would really help that sad city grow. But first, get rid of Jim Durham, their so called Director of Administration. I have several friends that live in Jacksonville and the things this man does is a complete waste of tax money.

Just what the taxpayers need; another school district, along with all the administrators and support staff that come with it. Nothing against Cabot, but isn' that in Lonoke County? One of the meth capitols of AR; I'd say the trash has been there awhile already.

Jacksonville is the main reason we have Cabot Schools! Pulaski County needs to fix this problem. People moved to Cabot to have safer community and better Schools, And the Jacksonville/N Little Rock trash has traveled north on 67/167.
