LITTLE ROCK, AR-- Downtown Little Rock is dressed in pink for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Even the ducks at Peabody Hotel show their love by waddling on a special pink carpet.
Friday night, race planners hosted a pasta party for survivors, which is just one event where friends can comfort one another.
"Whenever I was diagnosed with cancer in 1995, my whole life changed because determination sets in then," said survivor Joyce Sanders.
Supporters hope a cure for breast cancer will soon come.
"So many people are faced with breast cancer and it can happen to any of us. So we have to do everything we can to make sure we are supporting a cure," said supporter Felicia Wilson.
More than 40 thousand people will fill the streets tomorrow morning to support a cause that affects thousands of Arkansans everyday.
"It's important because so much of the money raised stays here in Arkansas , 75 percent," said Pasta Party Chairperson Ashley Hurst.
