FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — A man suspected of strapping what he told a 73-year-old woman was a bomb to her ankle and then trying to force her to go to a bank to withdraw money is being held on $100,000 bond.

Prosecutor John Threet said Paul Bradley has not been formally charged as of Wednesday. Threet said he didn't know whether Bradley had an attorney and jail records didn't list one.

Bradley was arrested last week and was being held on kidnapping and other charges after authorities say he tried to extort money from the woman, Betty Davis, and her husband.

Authorities say Bradley strapped what Davis thought was a bomb to her ankle. The device was fake, but no one knew that at the time.

Bradley's next court date is Feb. 10.

All that and that's all his bail is? You can get that in White Co. on a FTA on a couple parking tickets.
