Suspect, victim identified in Lonoke homicide

LONOKE, AR – A man who was shot to death last Friday has been identified as 51-year-old William Raymond Miller.

The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office says the suspect in the shooting death is 71-year-old Jerry Chivers. The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed in the homicide.

On May 11th around 5:32pm, deputies responded to Dismukes Street in Lonoke where they found Miller shot in the head. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
