Suspects in two pharmacy robberies arrested

Benton Police say they arrested a man who tried to rob a Walgreen’s Pharmacy with a knife early Sunday morning.

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Benton Police say they arrested a man who tried to rob a Walgreen’s Pharmacy with a knife early Sunday morning.

Police found James Miller, 22, inside the business, located at 702 Military Road. Miller ran away from police, across a parking lot, and was later captured. Police also identified Christopher Ahrendt, 26, as the driver of the getaway car.

Ahrendt was arrested in Grant County. Benton Police say Miller and Ahrendt are suspects in another robbery of a pharmacy in Grant County.

Miller is charged with aggravated robbery, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, unauthorized use of another persons property to facilitate a crime, theft of property, carrying a weapon, and fleeing.

Ahrendt is charged with aggravated robbery, unauthorized use of another persons property to facilitate a crime, and theft of property.
