LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Transportation Security Administration wants travelers at Clinton National Airport to check their bags for "threat objects" before arriving this holiday season.

Sari Koshetz, a spokesperson with TSA, displayed objects confiscated by TSA scanners and employees in Little Rock over the last few months.

Koshetz says items include handguns, both real and replica, knives and swords.

"We see a lot of elderly people who have canes and don't realize a lot of them unscrew at the end and have a sword inside," Koshetz says. "Don't bring that to the security checkpoint."

Koshetz says the items confiscated from passengers at Clinton National Airport are consistent with what the TSA sees across the nation.

The TSA says the airport averages approximately one handgun per month seized at the security checkpoint.

"That usually results in the passenger being arrested by local law enforcement," Koshetz says. "And can also carry a $7500 civil penalty from the TSA."

Passengers are allowed to have a handgun in checked baggage provided its in a separate hard case and ammunition is not stored with it, Koshetz added.

TSA has wasted billions of dollars on full body scanners, groping children and strip searching elderly women, but as usual finds nearly every item using the x-ray belt that was in use over 20 years ago. Only five items have been found by body scanners since their deployment in 2008. Based on GAO tests, for every gun intercepted one or two others get through. Despite these failures nothing ever happens, usually because the person is a licensed gun owner with no ill intent. Spending $70 billion in ten years to fund an agency made up of uneducated bullies with two page rap sheets is not a celebration, it’s a tragedy. TSA has become a jobs program for people who can't get hired anywhere else.

The TSA. The Federal governments place for pedophiles and people that enjoy humiliating the elderly and the handicapped. Such as the young boy in the wheelchair as seen on the news the other day. Real terrorist threat this young lad was!
