HOT SPRINGS, AR -- It's 65 days until the November 6th election -- an election Tea Party supporters say is too important to stay out of.  That's why they're on the phone to make voters aware of the big day.

Jean Thibodeaux wanted to help.

"I complained enough. Now it's time for me to get active and devote. Nothing is more important than our country's future," Thibodeaux said.

She said the Tea Party, with its stance on reducing government spending and the national debt, best reflects her views.

"We're not here for the Republican Party. We're here to get out the issues of fiscal conservatism to the general public," Andy Surabian said.

The bus is cross-crossing the country, spending lots of time in battleground states.  They're also supporting candidates in congressional races.

"It's brought a lot of great attention to the fourth district," said Tom Cotton.

The Tea Party endorsed Tom Cotton to represent Arkansas' Fourth congressional district.

"Are you a Republican candidate or a Tea Party candidate?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm both because the Tea Party does represent mainstream conservative thought, and they've brought a lot of reform-minded energy to the Republican Party," Cotton said.

While Thibodeaux would like voters to elect a conservative candidate, she just doesn't want folks to stay home on Election Day.

"You have a right to vote for whomever you please, but you do need to get out and vote," Thibodeaux said.

ya charlie, you missed a lot...There's this thing called the SENATE, which is still democrat controlled..don't worry though, things will improve once the Senate is controlled by non-progessive, liberal pea heads

It amazes me that the Teanuts talk about reducing debt, yet they took control of this country's checkbook (House) in 2010, and the debt continues to rise. Have I missed something?
