memyselfi, have you been under a rock for the past year? You should get your facts straight before posting comments that are not factual. PACT has not asked for a pay increase! The Board voted 12/8 to withdraw PACT recognition after PACT and the PCSSD Negotiating teams reached an agreement. PACT ratified the contract before that date. The key question is why did the Board not ratify the agreement during the special meeting they called before their regularly scheduled meeting? The one that had the agenda item to ratify the agreement? The collective arrogance and ignorance of the majority of this Board of basic management practices and the legal responsibilities of their position has cost this district millions in wasted dollars. For what? Their EGO. How many freakin' trips to court and how much in freakin' legal fees is it gonna take before the School Board President and Vice Pres realize they are not above the law? "Both parties herein accordingly agree to establish procedures that will provide an orderly method by which the Board and the Association may meet, consult, and negotiate in good faith to cooperatively maintain, protect, and improve the well being of its teaching personnel. Therefore, the Board and the Association agree that they will negotiate in good faith personnel policies, salaries, and educational matters mutually agreed upon as referenced to A.C.A. 6-17-202. V" PACT negotiated in good faith, the School Board has not. At the expense of our children the school board has succeeded wasting millions of dollars in legal fees, unauthorized reimbursements, ect. that could have been better spent on fixing our dilapidated school buildings and reducing student to teacher ratios.

Someone asked why no one has a problem with the police having a union on the Little Rock Police story. The difference is they are taking pay decreases and PACT is trying to stick it to PCSSD. I also didn't see any signs that were about the kids or the education when they walked out in protest. The school board members need to get their stuff together so they can remove them again. Try to imagine the law abiding city of Little Rock getting along without the police officers for a few hours so they could protest. There would be riots. They are dutiful civil servants.

I wonder why my hometown newspaper the Batesville Guard isn't running a story about the 14 yr old boy that died at White River Medical Center. He died from being over medicated by a nurse in that joke of a hospital. Just like the guard trying to cover up a story that might hurt the med. center. And the child went in with an infected finger....yep and now sadly he's dead.

What in the world are we doing putting up with School Board members that put their egos before the education of our children. Judge Fox has told them three times that they are in the wrong and yet the choose to waste thousands of dollars on lawyers and not on fixing schools. The School Board does not have the welfare and education of the children in mind, they are paying their lawyers big money from our school's budget and getting bad advice. We the people DEMAND THAT THE SCHOOL BOARD PRESIDENT, VP, MR. Gililland and MS. Williams RESIGN!

The teachers unions are killing our educational system . They may not have much to work with , but that is another topic .
