SEARCY, AR - Police arrested a 17-year-old after a chase that left a police car and the teen's vehicle destroyed and caused significant damage to a cemetery.

According to police, a routine traffic stop was attempted after a vehicle failed to stop and was driving without lights on.

During the resulting chase, police say the suspect backed into a police vehicle and ended up losing control of the vehicle, causing a great amount of damage to Gum Springs Cemetery.

The teen, whose name was not released because of his age, was given citations for multiple offenses including Reckless Driving, No Driver’s License, Driving Left of Center, Failure to Stop or Yield, Failure to Stop After Accident, and Not Displaying Proper Vehicle Lighting.

The last black kid I heard of on a joy ride like this is dead by the hands of the police.I bet all this kid gets is a couple of hours of community service. And I just love how everyone is defending the parents when on his story(the murdered black kid)his parents were called neglectful crackheads that dont raise their children rite. You people are very funny in a sick type of way.

I think that its a crock that they cant publish the names of criminals under the age of 18. Make them publicly known so the rest of society can spot these pieces of trash. Make him pay for everything he damaged. Sounds to me that the kid needs an ass whipping.

Oh how I pray for my children. I hope I am able to always show them the right way to do things and that they'll always be smart enough to do them.

He may have good parents you just never know what a kid will do when out of sight. He needs to be held accountable for his actions.

ARlover we are dealing with world genius and rocket science here. No person is responsible for the working of an others mind. A lot of states are adopting the policy that you have to prove neglect on the parents part. If they were not there it's not possible. That's putting the blame where it belongs. In those states the courts hold the youth accountable and the judgment is against them. It's also good for ten years. Makes it collectable. You have to remember we are living in a state that runs 49 and 50 in most things. Then there are some on here that comment from never never land. Humans are only responsible for their own action. No one not even a parent can control an others brain works and action. Putting the egg in the right basket is not some of these peoples strong suit.

Put him in cuffs and shackles and take him out to the cemetery and make mom and dad sit and watch him fix everything he broke as well as pay for it. Then let him sit in jail. Oh wait you don't do time here just crime.
