ROGERS, Ark. (AP) — Benton County authorities say searchers have found the body of a Rogers teenager who drowned at Beaver Lake.

Sheriff's Capt. Hunter Petray told the Northwest Arkansas Times that Alfredo Caballero was discovered about 7 p.m. Tuesday in about 10 feet of water within 20 feet of a boat dock at the day use area of Horseshoe Bend park.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers ranger Alan Bland said a group of six young people told authorities they didn't know the teen well, but believed he wasn't a strong swimmer.

Bland says the group told them the teen went into the water off the edge of the dock and began flailing. Two people in the group went after him and were able to reach him but they eventually lost him.
