TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) — Authorities say a 20-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in the stabbing death of a Texarkana man.

The Texarkana Gazette reports that Simone Miller is accused in the Sunday death of 26-year-old Lane Denney.

Police were called to a Texarkana apartment complex on Sunday afternoon. A police spokeswoman says Denney had suffered multiple cuts and lacerations.

Miller was initially arrested on suspicion of tampering with evidence and fleeing, but authorities added a second-degree murder complaint Monday afternoon.

Authorities say Miller is being held in the Bi-State Justice Building jail. Authorities did not know if she had an attorney.
