NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – Thousands of Jimmy Buffett fans flocked to North Little Rock for the concert at Verizon Arena. The partying started along the Arkansas River next to the RV park, transforming the parking lot into a beach.

The concert started at 8pm, but even fans without tickets enjoyed the fun by tailgating.

Outside Verizon Arena turned into Margaritaville, where fans hung out for hours waiting for the concert.

This was Jolene Joiner’s first time to see Jimmy Buffett in concert. “I'm excited."

The concert sold out in 90 minutes, which doesn’t surprise Amy and Randy Watson. "He was on one computer while I was on the other to see who could get the best seats, and we’re sitting in the 3rd row."

And while the concert is the main event, tailing before, during and after the party is what Maggie Parrish says she likes best. "Tailgating with everyone else is like one big family here."

And the party doesn't stop when Jimmy Buffett exits the stage. The music still plays, the drinks are poured, and the fun continues for fans like Jerry Hearnsberger. "Oh if you didn't come you don’t know what you're missing. There is nothing like a Jimmy Buffett concert."

Many concert goers are staying at the North Little Rock RV Park right next to Verizon Arena and plan to party into the weekend.

Fans trying to leave after the concert ran into major traffic jams. Parking lots and on street spaces were blocked for a 2 mile radius of Verizon Arena. Most people had to find parking early, or walk a long way.

Just an excuse for drunks to get drunk in public, as long as the city of North Litte Rock is making money.
