LACEY, AR – Authorities have arrested a 3rd person suspected to have participated in the stabbing of a Good Samaritan in Drew County Thursday. Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober says the three suspect are juveniles from Saline County.

According to Gober, the victim stopped to help the juveniles, whose car appeared to be broken down near the town of Lacey. That is when he was stabbed and his truck stolen.

Two of the suspects were captured a short time after the incident. Law enforcement searched for the third for several hours before the suspect turned himself in. The three juveniles will not be charged until Friday. Gober said he expects them to be charged as adults.

Gober also says the victim underwent surgery is expected to recover.

Authorities found the victim’s truck wrecked on Highway 425 south of Lacey. The truck hit a power pole and knocked out power to the surrounding area.

Let's see, guy stops to help you out and you stab him and steal his truck. Those boys better hope I don't sit on that jury. I'd hold out for nothing less than the maximum sentence.

just use good judgement when stopping to help someone out...if you feel at all like its going to be a bad situation...don't stop...nuff said

It is sad when an incident such as this makes you have to stop and think as to whether you should stop and help anyone these days. You just do not know. Even after this incident, I would probably still stop and help someone stranded. If I was stranded, I would hope someone would stop and help me if needed. (Bad) Kids seem to ruin the best parts of life! Set an example with them and maybe others will think twice before committing such an offense.
