Three-Year-Old Shot in Jonesboro

The child is in stable condition after being struck through a front door on Fairfield Street.


JONESBORO, AR- A Jonesboro child is in the hospital after being shot early this morning.

Police were called to a disturbance with shots fired at the 22-hundred block of Fairfield Street around 1:00 a.m.

When they arrived they found a small child had been injured by a bullet that had passed through the front door of a home.

Benita Harrell's three-year-old son was injured while sleeping on a couch.

The child was transported to a local emergency room, then taken to a regional children's hospital where he is in stable condition.

This act is still under investigation and officers are seeking a person of interest in the crime.
