AUSTIN, AR – The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office responded to an illegal drug call that lead to multiple arrests Tuesday.
According to reports, around 12:30pm on November 1, deputies went to a residence located on Melissa Lane in Austin to respond to a call regarding illegal drug activity. An investigation led to deputies obtaining a search warrant at the residence, where they found a small amount of marijuana, syringes loaded with suspected methamphetamine and numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
Arrested at the scene were 44-year-old Tammy Champlin, 26-year-old Candice Burroughs, and 47-year-old Rhonda Berry.
The sheriff’s office says Champlin was arrested on two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Burroughs was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Berry was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. All three subjects were taken to the Lonoke County Detention Facility.
Champlin also had an outstanding arrest warrant from the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office for theft of services.
The investigation is on going.
