LITTLE ROCK, AR – Little Rock Police say a toddler fell from a hotel balcony and suffered a fractured skull Monday.

According to reports, the child’s mother Arlesha Arnold was standing on the balcony at the Super 7 Motel, located at 9725 Interstate 30 in Little Rock, while talking to Anthony Kelly as her son, one-year-old Braylon Halton played with his water gun. Arnold told police that as he played, Halton leaned against the railing of the balcony and broke one of the rails, falling off the balcony and landed headfirst onto the pavement.

Halton was taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital where he was treated for a fractured skull and a small head bleed. Police say the incident appears to be an accident and no charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.

You guys are right, the attorneys will come out like cockroaches in a Mexican Motel, not sure the cockroach doesn't have a higher IQ than an attorney

I notice everyone is saying lawsuit because the railing gave way, but the mother was negligent also by not watching her child more closely.

Glad the baby is ok...don't guess he needs any more practice on being familiar with a gun now. TOY GUNS are not what they used to be when kids would never have THOUGHT of killing someone.

How many personal injury lawyers do you think are trying to contact the mother right now?

I would not have wanted to feel the feeling the parent had. Anger, worry, and guilt. No amount of money will erase that. Then the child's recovery and pain. I say get an attorney and go for the gusto. There is no telling future problems And expense with this kind of injury.

definitely a lawsuit coming. How aweful, hope the boy is going to be okay. Not sure what kind of slum of a hotel they were staying in but there's absolutely no excuse for unsafe railing. Whoever owns that place deserves to be shut down.
