LITTLE ROCK, AR-- Central Arkansas Marines wrapped up its Toy Hill Program Sunday afternoon at the Clearchannel Metroplex. It is an event part of the Toys for Tots program.
"We work with local nonprofit organizations and we distribute the toys through them," said Marine SGT Madison McClellan.
Each year organizers say the event grows bigger, gathering toys from Arkansans to give to other Arkansans. The Marines partner with DJ's at KSSN 96-FM.
"I can't imagine a child not waking up without something under the tree," said host Bob Robbins.
Donors say the reaction from the kids is their motivation for giving.
"They are excited to know that Santa came to give them a present," said donor Cindy Crabb.
Planners say even though the program ended this weekend, organizing next year's event starts Monday morning.
