You guzzler must be a drunk.....just reading your comments you dont deserve any reply but the first may be the last.. this truck was a auto carrier he tryed crossing at a NO TRUCKS railroad crossing and his trailer got hung he did have time to get out but .... Didnt contact the proper authorities so it ended up costing him a truck a car and probably his job....as for the car well it probably was cargo on the truck I suppose.

Have to go with guzzler on this one. Train always hits "whatever". Trains run on tracks; they can't "turn" to avoid something on the tracks. Trains can't stop on a dime. There is a reason it's called a "right of way". My brother works as an engineer for a RR; you should hear some of the stories about how stupid people can be around RR crossings! I look both ways all the time, regardless of the signal lights and crossing guards. Saw a lone boxcar in Tucson once, rolling along by itself, through a crosssig without activating the signals. Gotta be on your toes when behind the wheel. Cemeteries are full of people that thought they could beat the train! Guess they were in a hurry.

it says train hit truck - not truck hit train. If he was stopped or stalled on the tracks and couldn't move, he got hit; no injuries means he probably got out before he got hit. Also looks like another car was also involved, but no mention of why the truck got hit in the story, or why the car is there.
