BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) — A Bentonville woman accused of killing a man at her front door must undergo treatment at a mental hospital.

Huong Truong appeared Monday at a mental status hearing, where Judge Robin Green found she isn't fit to proceed. The Benton County Daily Record reports Green ordered that Truong be sent to the Arkansas State Hospital.

Truong is accused of killing Minh Van Trinh in August.

Her case has been stalled since her attorney requested a mental evaluation in November. Court documents show she was examined on Jan. 24, and officials found she lacks the capacity to understand the proceedings against her.

Last month, authorities say she bit a deputy during a court appearance.

Her attorney, Jay Saxton, didn't immediately return a call Tuesday seeking comment.

Must be Benton. She wouldn't get that anywhere else no matter how bad off she was mentally ill or mentally disabled. This state has an F on how they treat those people. But a shooting I guess they do. Lesser crimes it's prison anyway. Most people mentally ill or disabled don't get the help murderer's, perv's, rapists and violent criminals do.Guess they need to send them to prison to become fodder for the rest to have something to do. Maybe she just got a good pro bono lawyer.
