SEARCY, Ark. (AP) — New court dates have been set in a legal dispute over a $1 million lottery ticket that one Arkansas woman says she threw away and another plucked out of the trash.

Lawyer Jimmy Simpson says the case is scheduled to go to trial Oct. 18 in Searcy. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Sept. 17.

Simpson's client, Sharon Jones, claimed the jackpot after she plucked the ticket out of the trash. Another judge ruled earlier this year that the money should belong to another woman who says she threw the ticket away after a machine told her it wasn't a winner.

That judge later ordered a new trial and said he wouldn't preside over it.

The case was previously scheduled to go on trial this summer.

The only winners in this case are the attorneys. After it is all said and done, they will be the only ones getting any money.
