GARLAND COUNTY, AR - Former Happy Times Kennel owner Pam Thomas' faces six felony counts of aggravated cruelty to an animal after deputies raided her Garland County kennel in November.

Sheriff's deputies found four dead dogs on Thomas' property and seized the rest of the animals almost one year ago. All of the dogs have since been adopted.

Wednesday, in court, the veterinarian in charge of examining the animals took the stand listing more than 25 different diseases and infections the dogs were living with upon rescue. Although the defense argued many of the problems were minor medical issues, the veterinarian blamed most of the illnesses on poor living conditions - adding they wouldn't exist if the dogs had received the proper care.

Even before the dogs were examined during the November raid, vets knew something was wrong.

Thomas' defense attorney Kevin Byrd requested a gag order during the trial so neither side is commenting until the jury reaches a verdict. Thomas faces up to six years in prison for each count if she's found guilty of the charges.

Her trial is set to resume Thursday morning at 8:30am.

She wasn't found not guilty on the felonies because they were merged into the other twelve misdemeanor counts. So, she was in the end found guilty of 6 misdemeanor counts of cruelty to animals and was found not guilty of 6. The jurors never had the option to find her guilty of the felonies since they were merged. So, she was not proven innocent and those dogs did have several issues that they would have never had, had they been properly taken care of.

no felony charges....not guilty on all of them. I got my dog from pam very good woman. I just love it when the justice system works and proves innocence. The media just turned this into a witch hint without knowing the facts of the situation.... not guilty.......
