LITTLE ROCK, AR – The White County Sheriff’s office says the intersection where a truck carrying 4,000 gallons of hydrochloric acid overturned will reopen this afternoon.

The accident happened Tuesday night on Peanut Ridge Road near Shilo Road. The sheriff’s office says hazmat crews are almost done with the clean up.

A resident who lives near the scene of the accident tells Fox 16 that when her husband stepped outside “his skin started burning.” She says they were advised by crews on the scene that they should turn off any heating or air conditioning system in their homes.
