My uncle drove a truck for almost 40 years, maintaining an accident free record his entire career. How someone wrecks on a straight road comes from either thinking, as the majority of truckers do in my opinion, they "own" the road, or they have been driving to long without sleep. I cannot count the number of times I have been on the interstate in various states and have a trucker move into my lane as I am passing. And too many truckers trying to support their families make the decision to continue on, knowing they are tired. IT HAPPENS!

Well at least that part of the highway will be colorful from now on.

I drive that stretch every day - drivers don't pay attention and change lanes without signals or just land on the brakes before they run into merging traffic. If he got cut-off, he saved someone's life by not running them over. LOTS of trucks merging in both directions from Galloway.

pat72209, I've seen truckers texting and doing whatever else on the highway. When they realize they're veering into the other lane, they cut the wheel so hard to get it back that they flip the truck. That's probably how they wreck on straight, flat roads....I hope he gets a HUGE ticket

I used to drive an 18 wheeler.....How in the heck to they wreck so often on a straight, flat, Interstate? I have never figured that out.
