Two Men Already Jailed Charged in 2012 Little Rock Murder

Charles Hall, Jr., 27, was shot and killed in Little Rock near 11th & Fair Park last October.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - Two men already jailed for other alleged crimes are now charged  in a 2012 Little Rock murder.

Police say Jerard Ball and Etavious Smith, both 19, are facing first-degree murder charges in the October 2012 shooting death of Charles Hall, Jr., 27.

Ball and Smith are each being held on $1M bond.

On October 25, 2012, Hall was found dead inside his vehicle in the 1100 block of Fair Park Blvd. On Thursday, homicide detectives developed witnesses to Hall's murder, which led to arrest warrants being issued for Ball and Smith.

In February of this year, Hall's family held a vigil urging witnesses to come forward and help solve his murder.

According to information on the Pulaski County Jail website, Ball, who was arrested back in April, was being held on a string of burglary and failure to appear charges, along with a hold for the state hospital and the state penitentiary. Smith is charged in an incident Sunday during which officers with the Little Rock Police Department were shot at by suspect inside a home on S. Monroe St. He had been jailed on two aggravated assault charges with a $135,000 bond in that incident.
