What's really going on here? Kinda strange to see a "high speed chase" that only lasted 1.3 mi. (from this report and others) get so much media coverage when there was no shootout, murder, robbery, or huge drug deal going down.

IANDAD, I think you should take your own advice and "judge not lest you be judged"!! This is a place for opinions and my post is just that, my opinion! This is still America and the 1st Ammendment applies to us all, even you and your nephew! If he truly was just a homeless person looking for a warm place to sleep, why run from the cops? Why have all of the contraband? Sounds to me like your nephew's biggest issue is he has been enabled all of his life to be a loser and if you are so worried about him and his problems and are truly trying to help him, let him and his girl crash out at your house. That would be the christian thing to do. If I had family that was homeless, I wouldn't allow them to sleep in their car at a carwash and beg for food at sonic! Regardless of what their personal situation was or is!! I always have room for my family!!! That's how I roll!!! Until you walk a mile in someone's shoes you don't know what you would do, if you are taking offense to what people are posting about your nephew I would stop reading this post. Also, check you facts, there are few "trailer parks" on Arch Street, except for down toward East End. They weren't heading that way...they were heading back to town. And by the way are you referring to "Trailer Park Arch Street"...by the way they were at that car wash trying to get some rest because they are homeless....not wanting to intrude or bring his problems home to his family..even tho we stand by him always... at least they were blessed with a warm meal and free drink from Sonic on Arch Street...cause that's the way we role out here.

This person and his passenger don't deserve the right to have a driver's license much less access to a vehicle. I'd probably go with the dill except one thing. I remember when this happened in 70's around here. The only person in the car trying to get it stopped was shot in the back of the head and died. What made it even worse is the guy that pulled the trigger wasn't even police. Just a dispatcher. It wrecked several families lives. And ended hers. All she wanted was out.
