BENTON, AR – The Benton Police Department says they arrested a man caught in the act of breaking into a home Saturday morning.
According to police, an officer found a car pulled into the back of the home on 2502 Gattin Road. Police say they saw 28-year-old Bobby Valencia breaking into the home.
Valencia and 31-year-old Laura Mejia, who police say was with Mejia, were arrested and charge with residential burglary, theft of property, criminal trespassing, and public intoxication. Valencia was also charged with possession of a controlled substance. Police say they found nearly a quarter-ounce of marijuana on him.
