Two former Razorbacks plead guilty to felonies

FAYETTEVILLE, AR - Two former Razorback Football players have pleaded guilty to felony charges.

Former Razorbacks Marquel Wade and Andrew Peterson plead guilty to residential burglary, which is a class B felony, Wednesday morning in Washington County District Court. Both Wade and Peterson were sentenced to six months in the Arkansas Department of Corrections and also received 60 months of probation.

Wade will report to prison on December 31, 2012 and Peterson will begin serving on January 30, 2013.

If the players stay out of trouble after serving their sentences, their records can be expunged.

A third former player, Maudrecus Humphrey, had his hearing reset for Oct 31st.

I realize this is a bad remark....but I tell my small 10 year old great grandson that you have to be stupid to play football...stick to academics and be successful. He has been bullied a lot in his life. I also tell him that "they/others" will be working for him someday. I realize not everyone playing football is stupid, but if it makes him feel better.....How stupid are these guys and all the rest who throw their decent legal careers away.

RADAD; I'm with you, with the exception of "executives". No one should be able to "choose" when they go; we all have interests and affairs to take care of in such a situation I would imagine.

All I want to know from FOX 16 is, why did my comments get removed about the fat twinkie 18 year old thief that was arrested last Wednesday and released on a signature bond. All I did was tell everyone what his address is. He's at home right not and MOMMY says it wasn't him that night, he does no wrong. As for these thugs, once a thug dummy always a thug dummy. Now it makes you wonder how most of them get a degree?

Since when do us regular folks get to "choose" when we serve our sentence? I can understand big business executives and such getting time to settle their interests, but a common folk? What has this Country became? If you are sentenced to prison, you should go right then and there. You do a crime, get caught, you should do the time. Fella's sure didn't wait to go ROB someones home did they? PUT THEIR A$$ IN JAIL!!!

Stupid is as stupid does. These guys are a waste of human life. I don't care about athletic ability and am glad to see (once for a change) the judicial system not giving them a pass simply because they play on the Hill.

Hoping no one takes them. No Raider has ever been convicted of killing dogs. Try the Falcons. Or the Ravens. The white suit Ray was wearing the night someone died, a suit supposedly covered in blood, has never been found. Big Ben and his penchant for sexual harassment of younger women. The NFL is full of thugs. Just sayin'.

Stealing from his teammates? What a loser, starting his career off right, well at least he didnt have a gun and shoot someone, his teammate must had something he couldnt buy...so he mindlessly put his gray matter nto motion and decided to steal it, good move.....his path to a different career was a stupid move. Mayb he would have better moves on the field if his mind was right....well to bad for him and his partna's, probably just a stern talking to, and a slap on the hind quarter, and continue on his misguided jounrnies of thug life....
