FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Fayetteville police say a professor at the University of Arkansas took his own life after computers were seized from his home as part of a file sharing investigation.
Fayetteville television station KHOG reports that associate business professor Scott O'Leary-Kelly fatally shot himself Sunday, two days after police served a search warrant on his home.
Fayetteville police Sgt. Craig Stout says his agency was assisting the Arkansas attorney general's office in the investigation.
Stout says the probe involves other people and is continuing.
The 51-year-old O'Leary-Kelly taught in the Walton College of Business at the Fayetteville campus. The university is providing counseling services to students and colleagues.
