I guess they are trying to change their reputation of being a commuter college. I have two degrees from there (Bachelor's and Master's), finished both with above a 3.5 and never lived on campus. Wonder if you attend they Benton campus if you have to live on campus in Little Rock.

Based on how my son's German teacher was treated - and the method that they decided to eliminate the German program - my son is looking elsewhere as well. Anyone who treats their staff in the manner that they did is not high on our list. Quite frankly I am thrilled he is seeking out other colleges; always worried every day he will be robbed or murdered at school.

The short time I did receive care at the VA, they had to send me to a cardio specialist because they didnt have one at the time. The one they sent me to told me more in 30 minutes than the last 5 drs. told me period. He told me exactly what my causes were and what my options were to correct them and proper preventative measures afterwards. Guess what liberal? HE WAS BLACK AS MIDNIGHT!!!!!!!!! Super guy from every aspect. As a matter of fact, he moved out of state in the early 90's, and he STILL sends me letters asking how I am doing. So if a place being staffed by blacks bother you, hopefully after you receive some second rate service by an underqualified white dr., you'll see differently. My current cardio doctor is from India. I dont hold that against him, he came highly recommended and I'm glad he is my dr. Guess by your standards, all drs. in America should be white?

PTC does sound like a better option. Good idea. liberal: What are you talking about? My Primary Care Provider and her nurses are white. I've had white and black radioligists. I had a wonderful physical therapist that was black; a very intelligent woman that is considered one of the best they have, with a personality as good as anyone's. Black and white draw my blood, and they all do a good job. The only black I've had a problem with at Ft. Roots is the ignorant, obnoxious, unpolite, idiot working the window at the Veterans Affairs window in Bldg. 66. But those kind of people come in all colors, and are everywhere.

They're shooting themselve's in the foot...Most freshman who attend there live locally and can't afford the cost of living on campus..For the ones who are from out of town, they probably stay there anyway..

Pulaski Tech is smiling ear to ear with this decision. You can go to one of the PT locations, get your basics and transfer. There is always around a bad situation. Most people would not live in those dorms for FREE due to location.

I bet this wont last long once they see the number of students go down. $7,370 per student extra is a joke. Hell, most kids are doing good just to pay for school, now UALR is forcing them to shell out another 7 grand. I'd transfer.

Some people just suck the life out of anything good. How can they just insist that you live in the dorms if you reside in Little Rock and Living at home would be cheaper. Bull!!!!!!!!

Just one more reason I will NOT be sending my child to UALR!! It's bad enough the area your university is in anyway, and the fact that the campus is NOT safe at all, BUT NOW you are FORCING my child to live there, even though I am 15 minutes from the campus! NO THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
