LITTLE ROCK, AR – A 12-year-old riding an ATV was killed in a hit-and-run accident Wednesday evening in Faulkner County.

The Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office says the suspected driver is Michael Fowler, 27, of Springfield. He and the truck he was driving are in custody. Major Andy Shock says that the Fowler is believed to have been intoxicated. However, they are awaiting a toxicology test to confirm.

That accident happened on Burgess Lane, outside of the Wooster community.

The sheriff’s office says that a passenger in the truck was able to get out of the vehicle after the accident and call his brother. The brother then called 911, which lead to Fowler’s arrest by the Morrilton Police Department.
