TUCKER, AR - 350 prisoners at the Tucker Unit of the Arkansas Department of Correction have been placed in isolation in the gym because of what prison officials believe to be a virus.
Shea Wilson, spokesperson, says that all transfers out of Tucker have stopped for now.
Five inmates were do to be released on parole today but now will be held until the outbreak has been contained. Wilson said it was the recommendation of the medical staff to keep all people at Tucker to stop the spending of the virus.
The first case was seen Friday, but it was Sunday morning at breakfast before authorities at the prison knew how big the outbreak had become.
