RUSSELLVILLE, AR – One man is dead after he was hit by a piece of an awning that fell off a building in Russellville Tuesday morning, FOX16 has learned.

According to reports, the accident happened around 7:59 this morning at Baker Refrigeration on Highway 7 North. Police say workers were attempting to disconnect a section of awning from the building. After the awning was disconnected, the awning suddenly collapsed, hitting 64-year-old Burl Darter, who was helping to move it below.

According to Pope County Coroner Leonard Krout, the awning fell to the left and hit Darter, who died at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

FOX16 will have more information as it becomes available.

I was talking about when you look at the article. You see the picture and it show's crime scene. I read the article. I just don't understand why that before you click on the article to read its showing crime scene. It doesn't appear to me that it had anything to do with crime.
