LITTLE ROCK, AR- Police say they have captured a man who claimed to be armed with a bomb while robbing a Little Rock bank Wednesday morning.
According to police, 33-year-old Eric Haley walked into the Metropolitan National Bank located at 425 West Capitol Avenue and tried to cash a check on what police believe to be his own closed account. When he was not able to cash the check, police say Haley told the teller he had a gun and a bomb.
Officials say Haley never displayed a weapon, and left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. He was captured on College Street.
Police say there were 4-7 customers inside the bank and 4-5 employees at the time. No one was injured in the incident but a bank employee did need require medical attention.
Haley pleaded not guilty in district court and had his bond set at $40,000. His next court appearance is October 2.
