PULASKI COUNTY, AR – "They feel and look like I put them in an oven," said Jeff Foley. In fact, Foley's whole kitchen looks a little like the inside of an oven right now, but he's talking about his dogs.

"It was unreal," he described. "I've seen my dogs look like the victims that I've, at the Gulf War, charred like pieces of, it's just, there's no words for it."

Foley told investigators that someone came into his home through an unlocked back door around two o'clock Friday morning, covered the kitchen and two of his eight dogs in gasoline, and then lit the place on fire. Foley's son told deputies he saw a man leaving, but couldn't give a description except that the man appeared to be about six-feet-tall and 200-pounds.

"It is a crime that's very out of the ordinary," said Lt. Carl Minden of the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office. "An extremely rare case, something you just don't see every day."

Deputies have no suspects at this time, but Foley thinks he knows who's responsible. We're not releasing that person's name though because at this time he isn't charged with a crime.

"The most cowardly act known to man is to try to burn a family and intentionally burn my dogs," said Foley. "That would hurt me. So this, to me, is personal."

All eight of Foley's dogs were taken to the Doubletree Veterinary Clinic in Little Rock. Foley thinks two of them will have to be put down while the other five are expected to recover. Deputies estimate that the fire caused about $15,000 damage to Foley's home.

This "Home invasion" is clearly ARSON, ANIMAL ABUSE, & ATTEMPTED MURDER! Come on, Police need to "dig in" before they are successful at their attempt. What kind of state is this? I was raised with English Bulldogs, the only scarry thing about them is when they pass gas. My heart Goes out to the Foley family. sorry for your loss. RIP Obie, and Bebe.

All I can say is I hope who ever did this (for whatever reason)Burns themselves I owned a Englsih Bulldog and I CANNOT even imagine why someone would hurt a little animal ESPECIALLY a bulldog. This breaks my heart. The whole family is in my thoughts and prayers. I'm so sorry for such a HUGE loss of wonderful ("bullie") lives.

What do you expect from a state with more inbreds than any other state.

This is one of the worst states for cruelty. It has no compassion or conscience. Its mentality is possession, ownership and alot of violence and ignorance. Abuse? The word is not in its vocabulary when it comes to animals. Diane Smith was convicted of animal abuse in the starvation death of 3 horses. Yet, she participated in the County Fair on horseback and works at a livestock barn. The starvation deaths and conviction meant nothing to anyone. Dogfighting is rampant, abuse, neglect, abandonment and suffering is a dismal existence for so many animals in this state. There is a very teeny, tiny group of humane humans in this state. This is a murdering state. No hope or support from local officials, legislators, preachers or school administration. Rescues struggle with little to no involvement from the communities. This is a state which will support a presidential candidate who is earning billions from a foreign corporation that skin cats & dogs alive for coats for Burlington Coat Factory. Animals have done us no harm and they have no power of resistance. There is something so very dreadful in tormenting those who have never harmed us, who cannot defend themselves, who are utterly in our power. ~ Cardinal John Henry Newman

So very sad... I've been following updates on a different website where a phone number for the Vet was posted. I challenged everyone on that site to a 25.00 donation to help with expenses. Already as of yesterday over 5,000.00 dollars in Vet Bills. I donated 100.00 this morning not 25.00 but even 1.00 or 100.00 will be a huge help. This family needs our help and our Love to ease the stress as nothing will take that pain away but time and Our Lord. May God be with them and their strength through this horrible time.
