diligaf just for the record my family has never applied for or recieved any type of goverment assistance because we were taught in order to have the finer things in life you must work hard at whatever type of job your doing and make the best of it. And not to take the easy route of making fast money by dealing drugs. So now that we have that straight be a real man and step up to the plate and meet me anytime anywhere and lets solve this like real men. And you call yourself educated haha your funny get a life you idiot

Still think they could have picked a better time to arrest him. Since it was on an under-cover buy why didn't they go back make another one and take him then? AK-47 a little too much but do you think a 22 is going to protect you from these gang-bangers carrying Glocks? I don't think just waking up suddenly at someone busting in your door you'd want the most you could get? I know we have some excellent officer's out there but we have some very dirty ones too. Depending on where you live kind of adds to what kind of weapon would make you feel safe.

Sure he was just a hard working family man. Sound asleep minding his own bussiness, then he came to the door with a AK47!!!! Everybody has several of them laying around the house.

First off, i hate that a child was home at the time of this incident and may God be with them as they journey through life with this. May they know the truth of how thier father was (whether an honest man or dope dealer because God will explain it to them in time). As for for you oorly educated people commenting on how corrupt a marjority of the police officers are must have had a bad encounter once and are holding a grudge. Ive seen more members of our armed forces do criminal acts than memebers of the law enforcement community but the media portrays the PD as a violent secret society. It doesn't help when you have ill-informed bloggers spewing out grabage about how they are criminals and you know for sure all the facts in this case. There are classes and programs in Little Rock where you can get an indepth look into the day to day operations of the department. You get to meet with officers on patrol and detectives, the adminitration. There are opportunities to do a ride along with an officer. You see what they put up with and can see some of the silliest things they waste valuable time having to deal with instead of handling important calls. And FYI, during a raid the police may not knock, but they do announce themselves very loudly and clearly...not to mention thier vest that have in BIG WHITE letters "POLICE" on their front, back, and arms. I know that people have a right to protect themselves, but a question would be "is he a convicted felon"? And if so, he is not supposed to have a firearm by law....definantly not an AK-47.

@spyingonyou. Do you think the cops should call drug dealers and ask them "do you have any kids in your house? we are fixing to kick in your door and would like for you to take the kids outside while we do so"? They go to raid a drug house to get rid of these scumbags that are selling the dope. If they have kids in there, it is the drug dealers fault for the kids being there and being tramatized, not the cops. And as far as your comment of if the police broke his door down and him going into defense mode, he would not have to go into defense mode and worry about the cops busting in if he wasnt a drug dealer. But I'm glad to see people still care for the drug dealers and their rights, because i sure as hell dont. Kill them all.

If the police was watching the suspect and his house so tough, how could they not know there was a child inside ? The police broke his door down I think its fair to say knowing he had his self and other people in his house would't anybody go into a protective mode ? I call that insinct. I think the police should be held accountable for that child being in that house !
