PINE BLUFF, AR – A man hit by a SUV just before midnight on Friday in Pine Bluff has died from his injuries.

Police say Jonathan Haney, 20, died early Monday morning at UAMS in Little Rock. Haney and another man, Erick Green, were walking along West 6th Ave near Young Street when they were hit by a Nissan SUV. Green received only minor injuries.

“We need anyone that knows a person that was operating a Nissan SUV on Friday night in Pine Bluff to contact us if that Nissan SUV now has damage or parts missing from it which were not noticed prior to Friday night,” says Captain Greg Shapiro of the Pine Bluff Police Department. “We need anyone that has been approached since Friday night for replacement parts or repair work for a Nissan SUV to call us.”

Anyone with information can call the Pine Bluff Police Detective Division at 870-730-2090 or the dispatch center at 870-541-5300. All calls will be kept confidential and a reward is available for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect(s).

It's not only overbearing, but some say it is also Bliss. If that's true, then there are some very happy people on here. I remember when I first started posting a few months ago; defending LEO's, and got a firestorm of feedback against them, and me. I couldn't believe it at first; this hatred of LEO's. But I figured it out. And then some posts about veterans, and you know who gave me crap. I don't give a rat's rear end if someone was drafted or enlisted; they still served either by choice, or by being called upon by their country. And they fought side by side and died side by side; that's all I need to know. Hero's don't wear capes; they wear dogtags. As for the man that died in this story; I pray his family finds comfort in our Lord and Savior at this time; and the law finds the scumbag that did this.

If I offend someone on here by something that I post, it probably means they are to ignorant to see reality, or they have the same morals about the individual I am bashing, either way, I really dont give a crap. What I post is MY opinion, not yours or anyone else's, although many may agree with it. By reading some of the posts on here, it makes me better see why the world is such a f'ed up place..... ignorance is overbearing.

It wasn't meant as a personal attack. I said "usually"; which means I did not point fingers. If I offended, my apologies. I guess I'm getting a little trigger happy; I've made a few "friends" on here due to their views of veterans and police officers. I've made "friends" on here due to my viewpoints on thugs killing others also. And thugs being killed by LEO's while committing crimes. Again, my apologies. And it's not so much a subject I don't know about; it's an "individual" I know nothing about; other than patching you up after fights as she once commented. Peace be with both of you.

I hung that name on her when we had our first Grand child. It's a pet name someone else that past through my life had. Some are called in humor and love just the reverse of their personality. Just another subject you knew nothing about. My sympathy goes out to the families too. I also changed my pass word and have to pay my on bills just to keep her of my site. Thanks for the personal attack on her. You note she didn't call anyone by name.

Yes, it is a catchy name, isn't it. Usually, grumpy people don't like anyone, including themselves. I did not make any wise cracks yesterday. I'm all about support for the disabled; I give of my time and money to causes supporting them as a whole, and on an individual basis. And I still say certain types of vehicles should not be in the road; maybe residential areas, but not busy thoroughfares ( sorry, no spell check ). Regardless of the laws. And if, as one posted, the driver was speeding, I say manslaughter is appropriate. And I'll say this again too; my sympathy to the family. My sympathy to the families of these two also.

Sometimes I have to wonder if some of this is intentional! I hope they catch whoever is responsible, take away their drivers license and lock them up for a long time!
