ONIA, AR – Landen Trammell, the missing 3-year-old in Stone County, has been found safe.

"He was happy to see a small bag of Cheetos we brought with us, and he was glad to see a bottle of water.” Bradley Taylor with the U.S. Forestry said.

Little Landen Trammel didn't realize Officer Taylor's excitement to give him some chips and water. After all, he made up a group of 300 searchers who looked for the boy nearly 30 hours.

Taylor says Landen talked and answered questions.

"He was actually sitting in the water,” Taylor said. “He looked like he was playing, making mud pies."

But little does Landen know all the effort that went into looking for him. Professional and volunteer searches spent hours combing through dense, rugged terrain, like sticks, briars, and yes, even creatures, just to find him.

The search began yesterday morning. The boy's mom left him at home with his grandfather. After time passed, the grandfather couldn't find the boy and alerted police.

Searchers got the news over scanners and came back to the staging area to celebrate.

”You think about what could have happened to the child,” searcher Gary Fletcher said. “He's all right.”

Landen was taken to the hospital to be treated for exposure, but is otherwise fine, according to the OEM. He was missing for about 30 hours.

Don't know the facts. But the wife said the news last night said the boy moved a chair to a door, and climbed up and unlocked the door. It only takes a few seconds to do that, so don't place blame please. Our prayers were answered! What a trooper indeed! Playin' in the creek and making mud pies! Gotta love him! Thank God this didn't happen in July.

So very happy to hear this little boy was found. I worried and prayed for him and his family yesterday when I first saw the story. No stones need to be thrown, we don't know the full circumstances. I have children and I pay attention to them too, but it literally takes seconds for a child to wander off. I know good people who have had similar things happen. My son wandered off in Walmart at about that age. That doesn't make me a bad parent, just a human who errors.

@prayerchain - I grew up in Stone County as well. I don't get back as often as I would like, but the folks there are real "salt of the earth" kind of people. @shameless - You need to change your screen name to Heartless.

WOW. What a great ending. He is a heck of a trooper. Lost for 30 hours and was found doing what kids do, playing in a creek. I am so glad he was found safe. Hopefully it wont happen again.
