LITTLE ROCK, AR – Three suspects are at large and one person is in the hospital after a convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Friday night.

The robbery happened around 9:30pm at the EZ Mart located at 2711 West Markham. According to reports, two suspects entered the business, waving their guns. One suspect struck an employee in the back of the head with a semi-automatic pistol while the second suspect shot another employee twice in the foot. After struggling with the store’s safe and fleeing the scene, the suspects left in a waiting vehicle which was driven by a third suspect. Police say the getaway vehicle was later found at the intersection of Daisy Bates and Chester streets, crashed into a parked vehicle.

Police were looking for the suspects Friday night. Police say that one was wearing a black ski mask; the other was possibly wearing a white shirt on his head.

Anyone with information about the robbery and shooting is asked to call the police.

@ open eyes: this wasn't at Otter Creek, it was on Markham.

Otter Creek used to be such a nice place, this is sad to hear that it has been over run by the thugs that one time knew their place in swlr around Baseline and Geyer springs, or the stutters named after trees with numbered crossroads... Mlk wanted the brothers to be judged by the content of their character, oops, they messed that up for themselves.

I think Tommy had the right idea. I'd like to see it as a state wide policy. A man I knew lost his granddaughter in one of these stores before Tommy. I don't think he ever fully recovered from her loss. I'd stand in line all day to vote in a little tax to do just that. No one wants to have to work in one but for those that have to we could try to make it safer for them.

Its Time for a new Sheriff in town! instead of parking police cars with no one in them, lets have a Sheriff with a 12 gauge hiding in the stores. Let the thugs guess what store it is!

Store owners need to finance their clerks for the Concealed Carry License and allow them to carry while on duty. Planting a few of those cowardly scumbags tends to shrink the gangsta population quite a bit. What are the odds they were black?

I believe Tommy would say shoot them and rehibilate them later or something to that effect. He was no nonsense on crime.

Seems I remember a Sheriff Tommy Robinson years back that had a sure cure for these store robberies. I remember the rate of them dropping like a rock. And how about some of those 1,122 registered sex offenders in Pulaski co.? How'd they get out of prison?
