TRASKWOOD, AR – A man wanted in connection with the death of 35-year-old Christopher Patterson turned himself into the authorities Tuesday.

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office says 64-year-old Danny Stalnaker turned himself in to deputies at the Hot Spring County Sheriff’s Office around 3:45pm. Stalnaker was then taken to the Saline County jail.

A Traskwood police officer found Patterson lying unconscious by the Saline River Sunday around 12:45am. Patterson was taken to the hospital where he later died of his injuries. The sheriff’s office says Patterson died from blunt-force trauma to the head.

Stalnaker was arrested on 1st degree murder charges. His bond has been set at $250,000.

Let us not condemn. Let both families grieve. No one wins here. Do not make yourself judge and jury. Were you there? I pray for all concerned.

Well Danny is one of the BIGGEST POS ever!! He is a wife beater and a druggy!I would say now he will pay for what he put my mom though 43 years ago, but he won't. The POS has been in and out of prison. He is a POS father, son, and brother. You can report me all you want I have papers and pictures to back up my story. Anyone that pimps their teenage daughter out! I hope he burns in hell!!!!!! And I hear he has done this before just didn't get caught. Prays to Chris' family and the Stalnaker family. From what I remember his sisters and parents are good people.

what a pos...give him the death penalty! but since he turned himself in he'll probably get a light sentence..Either way, I hope he dies in prison..Why are people always getting beaten to death on the Saline river? The same thing happened to someone else I know, was beaten, knocked in the head and left to die, the murderer was given a life sentence but will be eligible for parole...It's like the movie "Deliverance" out there on that river..it's a shame.

I sit here and all the time and read comments and think wow how can some people be so mean and some are so nice. I am Chris Patterson older brother the old man than hit him had been a trouble maker for awhile trying to start fights with everyone he ran into. I cant really say alot at the moment about it but I will say this he walked up behind my brother like a COWARD and hit him across the back of the head and he went down and he never seen it coming. Thats wrong. I love my brother and they will catch him and they will give him what he has coming. And our parents did raise us to respect our elders just not trash.
