SO SAD...SORRY FOR HIS PARENTS AND THE OTHER ADULTS INVOLVED. He must not have understood he would die if he were trying to swim to the piling...how terrible. RIP little man.

unfortunately we live in a very sick society. It's sad when someone thinks dying is a solution to their problems. Problems are temporary; death is forever.

I just read they called off the search, & my heart breaks for this family.. I can't imagine the torture they are facing, or how this night unlike any other will feel like an eternity for them .. Im sending prayers up for this young man and his family, not to mention the rescue workers who searched for hours and hours, hoping to bring the family good news..

They stopped the search at 5 pm ??????? For what - so they could re-open the bridge for frickin' rush hour traffic ???? This isn't a 9 to 5 job guys !!!! The seach should have lasted at LEAST until darkness fell!!! I'll bet if this was THEIR kid they wouldn't want the search to stop after a few hours. If I were this child's parents I would be screaming and screaming LOUD !!!!

You can live from a jump like that. I hope they find him alive. I hope he gets the help he needs. Yes I have noticed how some think I gun is the best answer for everything. It's the way they make up for the things they lack.

I said that is how I would do it, not saying that is how he shouldve done it.

yes Mrz Gibbs, there are always a few that offer their 2 cents worth of macho and 99% of the time, its useless dribble...these people must think that we can't wait to see "those" comments they spew, when in reality, what they say is not important to anyone but themselves....the real pathetic part is when someone like you or I questions their dribble, they defend what they said with more mean mannerisms...your use of kindness truthfulness and hope in your wording is what separates the "mental classes" of people..

It's an old saying, but it's true - suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. It is NEVER the answer. Praying for this kid and his family.
