The positive action we as a community can take away from this awful tragedy (for all) is to be like these neighbors, get involved, speak up, report specifics to police. Thanks to this community for assisting the police. My condolences to the family of the victim. Such an awful tragedy to My hope in Jesus Christ is that ONE DAY there will be justice. And if we connect as a community NOW maybe just maybe we could STOP some others from doing folishness like this.

Instead of giving him "everything" as his Mom claims. Maybe, he should have had an after school job. Maybe, Mom should have spent time with him at night making sure his homework was done, Antonio, did not wake up yesterday and start down this road. He has been running down this road, as fast as he could, for many a year. Didn't anyone notice? I know some people that did and they did everything they could to intervene in Antonio's life. Antonio, now has to accept responsibility for his action. But, I am sure he will blame it on his Mom, the schools, the legal system, etc. Anyone or anything but himself.

As a teacher I had Antonio Terry in my class 5 years ago. He was in serious trouble then. Which negates the comment by his mother that he only started getting into trouble 4 years ago. Antonio was coming to school hungry, and usually had to be fed a pop tart or something before he could begin to work in class. Where was all the concerned effort then. The biggest problem in our society is that anyone can have children, whether they should or not is another question.

We are armed in my house and according to the news story so was the poor man who lost his life. These criminals are not entirely stupid. They find out you have firearms and they break into your house to steal those too!!

Start packing people, when we start blowing these persons away for their stupid decisions they may wake up and take notice. We need to take our country back! The police dept's, although I do applaud their efforts, can not keep up with the amount of crimes being commited now days.

IT is summer time and these kids have no supervision and are lazy. We just had our 4th or 5th break-in on my street. The police had told me that they would try to make a presence on our street to deter some of this crime and most of us in the neighborhood know exactly who is causing the trouble but the police either cant or wont do anything about it. Section 8 and child services have been called and the police including narcotics have been called so many times and nothing has happened. The police said these things take time but it has been 1 1/2 years. Several neighbors just found out these awful people called the police to find out who had been calling on them and were given the names of the callers so now they know exactly who to retaliate against!!

if those in custody are guilty, I hope they fry the little worthless pieces of poo till they are dead.

4 yrs ago my husband was shot by 2 men in our home, by the grace of God he survived. Last year we met those boys' families and both of them were strong christian, loving homes, who were shocked by their actions. It is not always the case of how they were raised. And those boys' weapons came from one of their previous victims. My husband's life is altered forever because some dumbass wants to protect himself. Yeah, well he is now 10 feet under and my husband is half blind..... BUT ALIVE !
